If you are renting a kayak and heading off on your own, there are plenty of options available for a great day on the water. Aside from the popular Hen-Tag stretch of the Weber River, plus access to several more miles of private river reach, there is also the Provo River, as well as several reservoirs in the area.
For instance, Jordanelle State Park has the largest lake in the region, with plenty of space to explore and enjoy a relaxing paddle. If you are feeling more adventurous, head up into the Uinta Mountains to Mirror Lake. There are a few other smaller lakes along the road there, and all provide an excellent opportunity to kayak close to nature. With so many options, you’ll be able to plan the perfect adventure that everyone in your group is sure to enjoy.
It’s all yours for the day. Individual rentals are suggested for the outdoor-type individual who prefers the challenge of whitewater and technical river sections and can handle them on their own. These rentals are appropriate for people with intermediate kayaking skills or better.
