Hiking Tips & Essentials

Hiking season around Park City runs from mid-April to around the beginning of November. Depending on the season and location of the hike, you will be wise to plan on bringing lightweight hiking boots, layered clothing, a hat, a daypack, a camera, sunscreen, and water. One of the fastest ways to get into trouble in our mountains is to become dehydrated. The temperature may be cool, but you can still lose a half quart per hour. On hot days, make that a full quart.
