Our privately guided Park City area snowshoeing tours are great for beginners and experts. No experience is necessary, yet the tours are customized to be fun for everyone, even the most seasoned of snowshoeing enthusiasts.
Snowshoes and poles rentals are included with all guided tours. Your guide will also provide water bottles and snack bars.
All you have to do is show up wearing warm, winter clothing layers, and snow boots that are comfortable for hiking. Good quality socks such as wool, hiking, or ski socks are strongly recommend for comfort, warmth, and preventing blisters.
If you don’t have appropriate winter hiking boots available, standard hiking boots would be the next best option. If athletic shoes is your best option, let us know and we’ll pack a pair of Gore-Tex over shoes and gators to give you a waterproof later and help keep your little toes warm and comfortable.
The tours can last anywhere from two to four hours.
All guided tours are private. Due to varying abilities, we do not mix groups.

Park City Public Trails – Experience the beauty of Park City, Utah while snowshoeing through its high desert foothills or subalpine forests and canyons. Depending on snow levels, your trail might take you past historical mining sites that used to be the economic foundation of this mountainside town, near ski slopes, or to the wide open protected wildlife habitat spaces in the area.
Summit County Private Trails – Snowshoe where most don’t get to go and enjoy your tour on a private ranch at North Forty Escapes in Oakley or Dikker Hill Ranch in Echo, Utah. Both ranch locations are about 30-40 minutes away from downtown Park City.
North Forty Escapes in Oakley: Get up close and personal with alpine forests of aspen trees and cottonwoods, and spring-fed mountain streams of the Weber River Canyon in the Uinta Mountain range.
Dikker Hill working ranch in Echo: The eagles soar while the deer and elk roam over this high desert plateau filled with gambel oak and sage brush, with a red cliff backdrop at the mouth of Echo Canyon.
Morgan County Private Trails – Red sandstone cliffs are not only reserved for Southern Utah. Northern Utah has its fair share, and this private working ranch lets you get up close and personal with their majesty along with the local family-style ranching culture.

SNOWSHOE TOUR & FIRESIDE DINNER: Yes, this activity is suitable for young people with snowshoe experience. This is not a difficult tour but weather and snow conditions can be a factor. Take plenty of extra warm clothing for the younger folks.
FULL MOON TOUR: Yes, these tours are designed for all ability levels but if the departure time is later or the weather is inclement some thought to the enjoyment level for children should be considered.
HISTORIC PARK CITY TOUR: Yes, these tours can be designed for families with small children.
CUSTOM TOUR: Yes, custom tours can accommodate young children with certain considerations such as weather, length of tour, choice of terrain and the ability level of the younger members.

Can I bring a camera? Any special considerations?
Yes, and a waterproof disposable with flash is the safest choice but that decision is up to you.
Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes, on all tours. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult and their waiver must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.
What else should I know?
Trip times may be customized to accommodate each group.
