FLY FISH UTAH IN THE WINTER
Winter fly fishing in the Park City, Utah area! Fish on! Experts agree that fly fishing in the colder fall and winter months is better. Lower stream levels and crystal clear water creates ideal conditions for catching your limit of native mountain trout.
Imagine enjoying a beautiful crisp autumn or winter’s day on one of our area’s blue-ribbon trout streams in the pristine scenery of the Wasatch Mountains. Many people don’t know that the Park City area is home to some of the best fishing in the state. And we enjoy a nearly continuous series of hatches from early March to mid-November, ensuring you will enjoy dry and wet fly fishing almost anytime you have the urge.
All of our fishing trips are small, private excursions with just your group and a guide. Normally we do a ratio of one or two guests to one guide unless you request otherwise. We keep things personal because that is how good fishing should be, just you and the river…and a guide to help out when needed. In those rivers, there are thousands of wild brown, cutthroat and rainbows along every mile, all just waiting for you.
Everyone who enjoys fishing had to start somewhere, had to make that first cast, had to place that first fly on the water. And, the best way to stay “hooked” is with that feeling you get the first time you catch a fish. Our guides understand this and welcome the opportunity to help first-timers get acquainted with the art of fishing. We do ask that any first-timers have a strong interest in learning to fish, as it just makes the time on the river so much more pleasant for everyone.
